The type: Unusual lesson “The Leader of our class”.

The aims: To develop pupils’ oral speech;
To distinguish Kazakh and
British food;

To teach them to be active, quick;
To revise reflexive pronouns.
The aids: The name of the lesson, the diagram of Venn, placard of reflexive pronouns, Kazakh
proverbs, etc.
Development

I. Organization moment:
1) Greeting

2) Asking questions about weather, date, day.
II. Phonetic drill: Now, let’s train our tongues, as usual. Repeat after me the proverb:


III. Checking home task: Your h/t was to revise the Unit 3 ”Eating and Shopping in Britain”.

IV. Follow up. Activity I: Today we have unusual revision lesson. The theme is ”Eating and Shopping in Britain”. We’ll have this lesson like the leader of the class and we’ll see the leader of the seventh class.
Activity II: Let me introduce with the pupils who’ll take part in our today’s
competition: …, …, … . Our juries are: …, …, … .
Activity III: Let’s begin our competition. Our first round is “Baiga”. Here you’ll take
the brick and through it on the table. There are numbers from 1 to 6 and what number
will get out you’ll answer to that number’s question:
1. What people eat at FFR?
2. Why is Oxford Street very popular?
3. How do people eat at FFR?
4. Are there waiters in FFR?
5. How many departments and floors are there in the Selfridge?
6. Why are FFR popular?
7. What are the cups, bags, boxes made of in FFR?
8. How many restaurants are there in the Selfridge? Etc.
Activity IV: The second round is “Kokpar”. Here I’ll give you the diagram of Venn
and you must write eating in Britain and eating in Kazakhstan, and in the middle – the
both countries’ likes. I’ll give you three minutes.
Activity V: The third round is “Who is quicker?”. On the blackboard you can see the
sentences and you must complete these sentences with the reflexive pronouns. You
can see the numbered reflexive pronouns on the placard. I’ll give one minute to think
and on the desks before you there are cards with the numbers. When I’ll read the
sentences you’ll show your numbers of pronouns. Is everything clear for you?
Activity VI: The fourth round is “Polyglot”. On the blackboard you can see the
Kazakh proverbs. One word of each proverb is lost and you must find them, translate
into three languages.
Activity VII: Our last round is “ Think and Find”. Now, I’ll give you the lists of
papers for each and there you’ll see four columns: drink, fruit, vegetable, food. You
must fill in with the words.
Activity VIII: Our juries tell the scores and tell the name of the leader of the seventh
class. (The pupils congratulate each other).
